Congratulations to Guilaine Vianca Patrick, a talented young athlete originally from the beautiful islands of Vanuatu, who has now made her home in the picturesque town of Motueka, New Zealand. Currently attending Motueka High School, Guilaine has recently achieved a significant milestone in her sporting career by being selected for the under-16 representative team for Nelson Netball. This selection is not only a testament to her hard work and dedication but also highlights her potential as an emerging star in the sport.

The journey to reach the representative team was no easy feat. Guilaine faced a rigorous selection process that spanned two intense days of trials, where she had to showcase her skills, agility, and teamwork abilities alongside many other aspiring athletes. Despite the competitive nature of the trials, Guilaine's determination and passion for netball shone through, ultimately leading to her success in securing a spot on the under-16 team. This opportunity will undoubtedly provide her with invaluable experiences that will further enhance her netball skills, allowing her to grow as both a player and an individual.

Guilaine's netball journey began at a remarkably young age; she first picked up a netball at the tender age of 6 while attending Riwaka School. From those early days, her love for the game has only blossomed, and she has since accumulated numerous accolades and achievements throughout her primary and secondary school years. These accolades serve as a testament to her hard work, perseverance, and the countless hours she has dedicated to honing her craft on the court.

In addition to her commitment to netball, Guilaine is also an active member of the Motueka High School touch team, demonstrating her versatility and athlet

icism across multiple sports. Her involvement in different sporting disciplines not only showcases her diverse skill set but also highlights her ability to balance academics and athletics effectively. As she embarks on this exciting new chapter with the under-16 representative team, we extend our heartfelt best wishes to Guilaine. We are confident that she will make the most of this incredible opportunity with Nelson Netball and continue to inspire those around her with her dedication and passion for the sport.
